Viewer Response Have you seen "Robot Stories"? Submit your own viewer response! "Outstanding" - Florida Film Festival 2003A little over two hours ago, I had the opportunity to see "Robot Stories" at the Florida Film Festival; as I had hoped, it was outstanding. The opening credits alone are worth the price of admission, and it only gets better from there. All of the actors were outstanding, especially Tamlyn Tomita who deservers much more recognition than she has received (I first saw her on "Babylon 5," and since then, it is always nice whenever she appears, most recently on "Jag"). Also, it was exceedingly nice to see a film where a vast majority of the cast is Asian. Everyone did phenomenal work and threw themselves into his and her parts, no matter how ridiculous it must have seen from time to time on the set. It is rare and refreshing to see issues like this being taken seriously and, at the same time, have touches of humor, irony, sadness, and despair. I really do hope that one day, sooner rather than later, it will be released on DVD because I do wish to see it again at some point. As of now, I feel that each one of the four stories could hold its own as a full-length feature, and that says a lot. Most movies that are made up of shorter stories tend to be comprised of stories that simply could not stand on their own, but this is not the case with "Robot Stories." Anyway, it is a great film, and I hope as many people as possible go and see it. While I find it impossible to think, even if someone did dislike it, there would be no excuse for not liking the opening credits, so one way or another, it will be money and time well spent. Hopefully people will spread the word. I saw it with two others, and all three of us liked it quite a bit, real quality work, which does not turn up too often. I could be wrong, but it seems like a film that was fun to work on, or even just watch it being filmed. Oh, and to anyone that does see it, stay through the end credits. It's awful what happened to one of the crewmembers the day after filming began. So, then, there we have it. Go and see it and spread the word.
